The V4 String Quartet, founded in 2021, is a unique ensemble built on exemplary collaboration among leading musicians from the Visegrád countries. Bringing together exceptional artists from Hungary, Slovakia, the Czech Republic, and Poland, the quartet passionately brings the region’s rich and diverse musical heritage to life. Their authentic performances span from the rich traditions of the past to the vibrant compositions of today, captivating audiences at prestigious European festivals.

As committed advocates of cultural dialogue, the quartet has played a leading role since the V4 anniversary year in 2021 in introducing musicians and composers from the Visegrád region to European audiences. By merging the musical traditions of their respective countries, the V4 String Quartet seeks innovative new ways of communicating through music, contributing to a more empathetic and diverse society. Their performances have included appearances at the MiraTone Festival and Academy (Hungary), Liszt Festival in Gödöllő (Hungary), EUFONIE (Poland), Chain Festival (Poland), Rzeszów Music Autumn (Poland), Krakow Musical Salon Festival (Poland), Easter Chamber Festival (Poland), Indian Summer Festival in Levoča (Slovakia), Domus Artis (Slovakia), the chamber music series of the Prague Symphony Orchestra (Czech Republic) and the Mente Festival in Romania. 

The V4 String Quartet has shared the stage with outstanding musicians such as Magdalena Bojanowicz, Adriana Ferreira, Alena Hučková, Adrienne Hauser, Ilya Kondratiev, Josu de Solaun, and Alexandra Tirsu in such prestigious venues as the Liszt Academy, the Royal Palace in Gödöllő, Festetics Palace, House of Hungarian Music, Primate’s Palace in Bratislava, Krzysztofory Palace in Krakow, Polish Radio’s Lutosławski Concert Studio in Warsaw, the Convent of St. Agnes in Prague, the castle of Klášterec nad Ohří in the Czech Republic, and the Palace of Culture in Târgu Mureș.

In addition to their performing career, the quartet is dedicated to education. They have held master classes and workshops in Hungary, Slovakia, the Czech Republic, Poland, and Romania, fostering the next generation of talent and deepening cultural ties within the V4 region.
