Now in its seventh edition, the MiraTone Festival and Academy – founded by violinist Miranda Liu – has become one of Central Europe’s most vibrant classical music events. Each year, it brings together internationally acclaimed artists and passionate young musicians in the heart of Budapest.

To celebrate the 215th anniversary of Robert Schumann’s birth, the MiraTone Festival presents an evening of chamber music that captures the full emotional depth and vivid imagination of this beloved Romantic composer.

The program features three of Schumann’s most expressive and personal works, brought to life by a superb international ensemble of artists from Portugal, Hungary, Romania, Bulgaria, and the UK.

The concert opens with the Fantasiestücke, Op. 73, a trio of short but powerful pieces filled with shifting moods—from tender and lyrical to bold and impassioned. Next comes the Three Romances, Op. 94, an intimate and poetic exchange between flute and piano that speaks straight to the heart.

The program concludes with the passionate Violin Sonata No. 1 in A minor, Op. 105, a dramatic and emotionally charged work that showcases Schumann’s mastery of form and expression.

Expect an evening of Romantic spirit, poetic nuance, and musical storytelling that will enchant newcomers and classical music lovers alike.
