Mark Jannsens (Leuven, 1967)
is a presenter and producer at Klara, the main classical radio station of VRT, the Flemish public broadcaster. He is the host of Maestro, a daily show concentrating on the masterworks of classical music. He talks with the great performers of today and is the editor of radio documentaries on composers and artists.
Sergio Roberto Gratteri (Genk, 1978)
Shortly after his studies of musicology and cultural management at the Universities of Leuven (BE), Venice and Rome (IT), he developed his professional career in the field of cultural programming and Art mediation with organizations such as the International Yehudi Menuhin Foundation, Europalia, Interpreti Veneziani (It), De Pianofabriek and La Monnaie.
As coordinator of Audience Engagement Music and Transversal projects at BOZAR he developed new engagement concepts to attract new audiences for classical, jazz and world music by working with renowned orchestras and artists such as the Mahler Chamber Orchestra, London Symphony Orchestra, Joyce di Donato, Jazz Lincoln center,...
Always looking for innovative and interdisciplinary models he has developed and/or co-programmed a.o. the Bozar Music Opening Night, the Big Bang Festival and the United Music of Brussels project, a unique collaboration between BOZAR, La Monnaie and the NOB. In 2021 he launched DAS HAUS, a new Brussels performance space concept dedicated to innovative classical music projects.
Inspired by his strong belief that art is a powerful tool for social cohesion, he has conceived and coordinated major urban projects such as Singing Brussels , Homelands, Places of belonging and Sounds for the Soul.
As a freelance curator and dramaturge, he regularly accompanies festivals, music ensembles and European cultural institutions such as Esch 2022 Capital of Culture (LU) in defining new strategies of mediation with the public and in setting up refreshing models of artistic programming.
Dr Matteo Gemolo (Venice, 1985)
is an Italian flautist, doctor in music performance and music curator of Coudenberg Sound Box Fest. He has been praised as ‘one of the leading exponents’ in researching and performing contemporary music for period instruments. He performs with international renowned ensembles such as Millenium Orchestra under the baton of Leonardo Garcia Alarcon, Orchestra Ghislieri, Vox Luminis, Les Muffatti, Scherzi Musicali, Bach Plus and he is a co-founder of The WIG Society. His music is featured in different recordings for labels such as Warner Classics & Erato, Glossa, Etcetera, Ricercar and Arcana (Outhere Music). He is co-author of "Historical Performance and New Music" published by Routledge in 2023.
