Adrienne Hauser

As a soloist, Adrienne Hauser has been lauded by the international press “total mastery over her material” (Indian Express, Madras) such as her “fascinating Tchaikovski interpretation” (Új Magyarország, Budapest) and for the “perfect harmony of the fingers...” and for “her tone which is affirmed by singular personality” (Tribune de Geneve). In addition she is the founder and artistic director of the international piano festival “Piano Feast in the East”
of Tiszadob, in eastern Hungary which has a growing appreciation due to the international radio broadcastings of its concerts resulting in superlative echoes in all musical circles.

Her talent was manifested very early and already at the age of seven she was admitted to the “class of supergifted children” – specially organized by the Ferenc Liszt Music Academy. She obtained her diploma with Zoltán Kocsis, Ferenc Rados, György Kurtág and has also participated in the master courses of Yvonne Lefébure in Paris and followed the counsels of György SebÅ‘k as well. In 1985 she got third prize at the Piano Competition of the Hungarian Radio, and in the same year the Polish Television shot a portrait film about
her.

Since that time her national and international engagements have been completed by more than 40 recordings made by the Hungarian Radio. She has appeared at the Chopin Festival in Poland, played at the Budapest Spring Festival, Interforum, International Bartók Festival, Fazioli Festival, Bellerive...

She is often invited by the leading Hungarian orchestras under the baton of such outstanding conductors as Tamás Vásáry, Zoltán Kocsis, Péter Eötvös, etc. and she plays chamber music too with such partners as Miklós Perényi, Zoltán Kocsis, Cyprien Katsaris... Her first recording is Bartók's Miraculous Mandarin for four hands with Zoltán Kocsis. (Quint–Harmonia Mundi)

In 2011 she gave masterclass and recital in Seoul. In 2012 she won Prima Prize in Hungary. In 2016 she participated in a tour in Canada where she gave a recital along with a masterclass which met with great success. In the words of music critic Jacques Leclerc : “She has demonstrated her talent and astounding virtuosity in Chopin’s Andante spianato et Grande polonaise brillante”.

In 2017 she gave recitals in Vietnam and Malaysia.
