Founded in 2021, the V4 String Quartet comprises of violinists Miranda Liu (Hungary) and Daniel Rumler (Slovakia), violist Tomáš Krejbich (Czech Republic) and cellist Bartosz Koziak (Poland).  It has rapidly established itself as one of Europe’s most dynamic and internationally active chamber ensembles.

In the 2025/26 season, the ensemble continues its remarkable ascent with guest appearances across the Czech Republic, Estonia, Germany, Hungary, Poland, Romania, and Slovakia. A highlight of the season is their international concert series and forthcoming recording of the complete string quartets by György Kurtág for the DUX label, marking the composer’s centenary.

The V4 String Quartet has collaborated with an impressive roster of distinguished artists, including Magdalena Bojanowicz, László Borbély, Adriana Ferreira, Alena Hučková, Adrienne Hauser, Haruka Nagao, Tomáš Jamník, Ilya Kondratiev, Ján Krigovský, Josu de Solaun, Alexandra Tirsu, and Marek Żebrowski. Their performances have graced many of Europe’s most prestigious venues, among them the Liszt Academy of Music Solti Hall, Budapest Music Center, House of Hungarian Music, Festetics Palace, Primate’s Palace in Bratislava, Krzysztofory Palace in Kraków, the Polish Radio’s Lutosławski Concert Studio in Warsaw, and the Convent of St. Agnes in Prague.

Equally at home on the international festival stage, the quartet has appeared at the MiraTone Festival and Academy, Liszt Festival in Gödöllő, EUFONIE, Chain Festival, Rzeszów Music Autumn, Krakow Musical Salon Festival, Indian Summer Festival in Levoča, Domus Artis, the Prague Symphony Orchestra’s chamber series, and the Mente Festival in Romania. Their repertoire spans the great classical masterpieces alongside premieres of new works dedicated to them, with a particular emphasis on composers from the Visegrad region.

Beyond performance, the V4 String Quartet is deeply committed to education. Through master classes and workshops across educational institutions in Hungary, Slovakia, the Czech Republic, Poland, and Romania, they actively nurture emerging talent and foster meaningful artistic connections across borders.
